Nurtured by Steph is the dedicated pre and postnatal Pilates stream at The Health Studio. Stephanie has trained specifically in pregnancy-safe and postnatal Pilates, with a calm, encouraging style that meets new mums where they are.

Every session is private. We work around your week, your energy, and your body. You are never asked to push through what does not feel right.

Most clients start in the second trimester and come back through pregnancy. Postnatally, we start with breath, pelvic floor, and gentle reactivation, then progress as you are ready.

  • Brand-new mums (6 weeks postnatal+)

    Reactivate the basics safely. Cleared by your GP first.

  • Mums months or years postnatal

    Even outside pregnancy, Steph's style is gentle and grounded.

    Where you are in your pregnancy or postnatal journey, what your body is telling you.

    Guided session

    Reformer-based. Breath, pelvic floor, deep core, and full-body strength as you progress.

    Plan for between visits

    Simple things to keep you connected to your body day to day.

Safety and clearance

For postnatal clients, we ask that you have had your 6-week (or longer) check with your GP and been cleared for exercise. For pregnant clients, we will always defer to your obstetrician or midwife if there are any concerns. Tell us at booking about any conditions like pelvic instability, separation (diastasis), or pre-eclampsia and we will plan accordingly.

Common questions

When in pregnancy can I start?
Most start in the second trimester. Earlier with your obstetrician’s go-ahead.
When postnatally can I start?
After your 6-week (or longer) check, with GP clearance for exercise.
What if I had a c-section?
We progress slowly and respectfully. Cleared by your GP, we start with breath and gentle reactivation.
Will my baby be welcome?
One-on-one means we can usually accommodate a quiet baby. Let us know at booking.
Is this Pilates or physiotherapy?
Pilates. Stephanie is a Pilates instructor with pre and postnatal training, not a physiotherapist. If you need clinical assessment, see a physio first.
